SUMMARY:#315 : Baah's ANZAC Bash
DESCRIPTION:It was a night for the history books\, though most of us are trying to drink enough to erase the memory of that first incline. We kicked off Run #315 with the solemn notes of the bugle and the traditional Rum and Milk\, a fitting start for Baah Sinister’s Anzac Day Memorial Run. Little did we know\, that was the last bit of “fitting” the night would offer before the Hare decided to reenact a forced march through the trenches. \nThe hill at the beginning was enough to kill the fittest soldier\, but the Hare wasn’t done; he proceeded to lead us onto a Black rated bike trail that was clearly not fit for human presence. The only redeeming quality of the entire ordeal was the Port at the first drink stop. After that climb\, most of us were struggling to breathe\, let alone swallow\, but we persevered like the heroes we are. \nOnce the walkers ambled off\, the runners proceeded into the abyss. Nothing overly eventful happened until we stumbled upon the walkers\, who had apparently got lost behind enemy lines and managed to land right in the middle of the runners’ trail. To make matters worse\, Eno proved to be a back-running bastard yet again\, intercepting the trail between the front and back-runners. Speaking of the front\, our esteemed GM\, Pepe le Spew (or rather\, le Caca)\, couldn’t maintain his position and offered up a cacophony of excuses for his lack of pace. \nThe real challenge was the descent. Whatever goes up must come down\, and we found ourselves back at the first drink stop to finish the stashed Port. Once the Penfolds bottle was dry\, we headed down the hill where The Fuck Am I truly deserved his name; he found out exactly where he was very quickly\, which was on the floor. Twice. The good news is that Claret was spilt\, and thankfully it wasn’t the quality goon-bag port we’d just finished. \nMenstral heard there were hungry fish at the bottom so he rushed down the hill in his feet gloves – and got a charge for his over achieving\nThe drama continued when we discovered our base had been “attacked\,” forcing a retreat to HQ\, only to find the gates locked. After watching Arsenic take approximately 30 turns to maneuver his vehicle while Eno’s tiny car blocked the entire world\, we finally landed at Rotaract Park. We refuelled on an Irish stew prepared by Baah Sinister who thoughtfully brought toilet paper for Fresh Meat’s ride home. the usual charges were laid\, and the circle was closed. \nOnOn!

SUMMARY:#314 : No More Tennis Rally Run
DESCRIPTION:Well f&ck me\, it’s not often the walkers beat the runner’s home after a rendezvous in the middle of the bush….. \nNot sure if it was all the on backs\, the navigationally challenged front runners or the saboteuring walkers changing the trail markings but somehow WTFAI (yes\, his rash from his recent Asian “exploits” has cleared up) and Fresh Meat (walking because the Gourmet run the night before was so “hard”) cruised in to the on after 6.5km / 1hr 10min later wondering…..are the runners lost? \nOf course\, with our fearless leader (Pepe Le Spew) front running as usual the answer was simple\, yes\, the runners were lost!! I mean Pepe has only done 4\,512 runs in the forest so it’s really easy to miss the side passage back down to Tom Rose from the fire trail\, just ask Eno F$ck All & Y2KY Jelly. \nSure\, the walkers would say there was a big f$ck off check that the crew from Artemis II could have seen from the moon but hey when you’re a front running bastard you don’t sweat the small stuff like trail markings. \nIn the circle the well-marked trail was rewarded with a 6.9 from both the walkers and runners due partly to the shear amount of wildlife spotted on root\, which was expertly captured by our reserve Hash Flash\, followed by the usual spiteful and vindictive charges as we let loose celebrating our first circle under the new regime. \nIn a moving ceremony the impressive new Carlos Alcatraz Cup was presented to Baaah Sinister and the Voyeur award to Eno F$ck All for their efforts on and around the courts from the previous weeks. \nThe raffle was won by the hare (ArseNic) who was delighted with his “How to Play Poker” and the “Royal Tattoo” DVD’s. A fitting reward for all his efforts putting on another great night of hash and raising the question once again\, is the raffle rigged? \nNext week we do it all again as we remember those hash men who made the ultimate sacrifice as we pay homage to the ANZAC’s with a big hill\, two-up and the lighting of the fire. \nOn on\n🐏😈

SUMMARY:#286: Oktoberfest @ Tom Rose Beer Hall
DESCRIPTION:What an evening of culture as the Covid Hash recognised everything that Germany has given to the world including………..beer\, really big steins to drink beer out of\, kind of weird beer drinking music performed by even weirder dudes wearing leaderhosen……did I mention the beer. \nBut before all of that we did an amazing run that Y2KY Jelly (current RA\, Penisula Hash) thought was “Wonderbah and the greatest run of all time\, especially all the really easy to find trail marking” or words to that effect. \nThe walkers on the other hand decided their trail lacked adventure so decided to attempt the death defying black diamond Taipan (shortcut?) resulting in a 6km / 1hr 40min epic that they seemed to really enjoy and didn’t complain about whatsoever. \nBack in the circle the hare (Baaaah Sinister) was drowned in Tun Mid for all his heinous crimes\, especially against the walkers\, despite all his efforts to carefully place a Koala and Kookaburra on the trail. \nThe fact a trail was even set was nothing short of a miracle due to the first ever sighting of a pig in the bush. Instead of being arrested for being in possession of “questionable white powder” the hare ended up joining in the “hot” (if only she was) pursuit of what the hare could only assume was another lead in the Dezi Freeman manhunt. \nThankfully the kennel recognised the hares community efforts rounding up an initial 0.69 awarded for the walk by Where the F#ck am I\, which apparently he was heard saying quite a bit on trial\, to a 6.69 in recognition of the distance covered however in a strange twist the original 8.4 awarded for the run was discounted for not being long enough resulting in an overall 6.9 being recorded. \nAs tradition dicktates the evening wrapped with a three course dining experience (Germanic inspired) including plenty of snacks. \nNext week we do it all again as Y2KY Jelly takes us on a “Magical mystery tour” somewhere on the coast. Thankfully\, it is an international break so it should give the GM plenty of time to find an oversized Man United shirt in time for Liverpool’s next fixture.

DESCRIPTION:https://covidhhh.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/07/Covid-274.mp4 \nWe ran (6.48km / 1hr 12min)\, we walked (4.48km / 3 days 2 hrs 8 min)\, we ate (Turkey surprise)\, we drank (Tun Mid)…..and then some real dodgy half naked dude cruised in ….claiming to be Santa and forced us to sit on his knee as he handed out presents ……..WTF. \nFortunately\, I could only hear what happened next as I went totally blind as soon as I saw Santa’s get up or maybe it was a result of deliberately spraying stripper glitter in my eyes\, I’ll never really know\, but the photos speak for themself. \nTo wrap up the festivities Y2KY Jelly “baked” a cake on the birthday boys (WTFAI) head as we celebrated his 69 + 1 (we all agreed an actual cake would have been really good idea….) and then spent the rest of the evening around the roaring bonfire that somehow we managed to put out despite the immense heat it was generating. \nNext week we do it all again with Cum SOC guiding us around the bushier bits of Burleigh as we celebrate the life of Ozzy Osbourne (probably without the live bat eating but get a Covid booster just in case) with the Prince of Darkness memorial run. Uber have been notified and will be on stand-by.

SUMMARY:#260: Anzac Day Run
DESCRIPTION:What better way to honour the spirit of the ANZACs than with a splash of rum & milk pre-run\, Last Post on the speaker\, and a ragtag bunch of blokes trotting around Nerang forest in the dark? That’s exactly what went down this week\, kicking off from Brookfield Court. \nBaaah Sinister was our hare for the night—though judging by the number of times he hit the deck\, you’d think he was auditioning for Swan Lake.  \nThe trail? Seven scenic k’s of winding bushland\, punctuated by a few close calls. Derrolicked almost cuddled up with a snake (luckily the snake had better places to be)\, and Fresh Meat put on a show\, slipping and squealing like his dignity was on the line—which\, frankly\, it was. Pepe Le Spew was out the front as the FRB (Front Running Bastard)\, though I swear he’d sold his soul for that sort of pace. \nTime on trail? A respectable 1 hour and 23 minutes\, though it felt longer if you had Baaah Sinister falling over in front of you every 200 metres. \nScores on the doors: \nRun: 6.969 (rounding not allowed here) \nWalk: 9.69 (because the walkers always reckon they’ve done it tougher) \nBack at the circle\, the Down Downs flowed thick and fast. Plenty of charges were dished out—some for genuine offences\, most for just showing up. Special mention to Baaah Sinister for losing\, and then finding\, his long-lost drinking vessel—lost a year ago and planted by Fresh Meat\, who sneakily engraved it and buried it like some sort of demented treasure hunt. Poetic stuff. \nNosh was top-notch: Turkish lamb kebabs with fresh salad and garlic yoghurt. Hats off to the hare for not poisoning us (this time). \nIn true Rehash spirit\, the banter was rough\, the circle rowdy\, and the beers cold. Somehow\, we managed to allude capture\, so we headed directly to Fat Freddy’s to celebrate\, or at least that’s’ what Eno thought… In the ultimate act of rat c&nting we proceeded to run through not only Fat Freddy’s and the quiz night but every other bar in Broadbeach until we finally reached the piss stop………Kurrawa Surf Club. \nIn a strange coincidence we discovered most patrons at the Surf Club had been blinded a few days earlier after witnessing a Sunrise interview involving our very own Smokie and his friend……. \n \nBack at the circle the run was scored a 73/100 despite the lack of midget porn but not before a Chinese Dragon dance was expertly performed by Eno & Baaah and a round of Badminton Wars which turned into a farce (turns out no one could see their cocks).

SUMMARY:Run #194: Choose your own Adventure
DESCRIPTION:Well\, it was advertised as choose your own adventure ………..but Jelly took it way too far. 2 hours and 8km after departing on his “quick” walk he somehow managed to swim his way out of the flood ravaged creek to safety only to find no one at the on after. Stupidly the runners had decided to mount a pointless (it’s a big forest) search and rescue effort so once back at the circle square it was agreed to tweak our mantra of “No Man Left Behind* “ \n Unfortunately\, the circle square was disrupted by Gupta (security guard) before we could properly dispense all of Jelly’s charges and score the run\, but we did agree it was certainly Run of the Calendar Year (ROTCY) and “The Sloppy” would be a new AGPU award for wettest run swim of the year. \n  \n Tragically I took some photos of the run (see below) but unfortunately\, I’m now totally blind as a result. BTW if you happen to find a custom-made wedding ring at the bottom of the creek it’s Derro’s. \n

DESCRIPTION:Following on from the drinking standards set at the AGPU the QBR didn’t disappoint but not before an epic 7.7km no hills one way trail including a quadruple log of doom. The on after descended into chaos somewhere between the consumption of the traffic light cocktails and the multiple rounds of the Skol-a-Rama 3000. When Smokie finally turned up we toasted the birthday boy (literally) by way of a half pint of vodka (Eno still claims it was tequila) resulting in his “cameo” appearance on the couch. Unfortunately\, due to a technicality (technically we were all blind drunk) no run score was recorded.

DESCRIPTION:https://covidhhh.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/05/Covid-164.mp4 \nWell\, the Postman’s Run really did ……….(wait for it) ……….deliver. \nDespite the absolute confusion about what we were doing the pack set off in the right direction on root to Pacific Fair. Jelly must have felt peckish as he led us up the escalator to the food court before finally escaping the mall and across the road to Dracula’s where he attempted to recruit scantily clad cabaret performers to join the run. Clearly the Casino and Convention Centre security staff must have been on a break as our sojourn through both premises was uninterrupted despite the GM’s best efforts before finally cumming across Blake at the Broadbeach Bowls Club and a table full of beer’s. Post re-hydration concerns about Ballbags whereabouts meant we took the most direct root back on home ……..via the Oasis Centre and the site of the infamous AGPU poo. \nBack in the circle a generous 75 was awarded to the hare for printing out some Google Maps but not before Derro finally christened his new shoes. The usual spiteful and vindicative charges followed including a Guinness & Tun inspired concoction that went down so bad it resulted in a reaction that only an egg cup full of tequila could resolve. \n

SUMMARY:Run #162: Return of the Big Dog
DESCRIPTION:What a run. As advertised it had a bit of everything for everyone including a tunnel start (Eno\, there was no need to take a shit in it)\, a log doom trilogy\, a six-way check\, bush bashing and a lemon tree inspired piss stop (lemon drop shots). With the Big Dog returning we did our best to injure him but unfortunately the Bridge to Nowhere survived his attempts to cross it. As tradition dicktates Ballbag got lost. \n  \nIn the circle a run score of 78 was recorded followed by the usual spiteful and vindicative charges many of which were directed at the GM for temporarily abandoning the hash and for somehow managing to f&ck up our well thought out 2025 Nash Hash bid. To ensure our next bid is successful we all agreed to attend the 2025 Freo Nash Hash on the proviso that virgin\, or at least shaved\, bush was also in attendance.

Most surprisingly the hasher in question was not Ballbag…. Turned out Eno was enjoying the trail so much he decided to do 2 laps of the course despite being only 20 metres from home first time round (Relive Eno’s run below). \nWith Eno clearly shaken we did what any good kennel would do and charged him with multiple offences dispensed from a dog bowl…. It really was Eno’s night with the RA (aka Jelly) then numbering him (XIV) followed by winning the much sought after raffle. \n  \nThe run score was surprisingly low at -5\,003 but with a 5\,000 point bonus awarded to the hare for retrieving a lost runner a respectable -3 was confirmed. The walkers awarded a 7.5 for their trail despite not following one inch of the flour laid for them (God only knows where they went). All in all\, a great Mardi Gras run hosted by the committee……just don’t mention the onions.
