Where you can stand whilst serving \, singles and doubles? \nA few simple warn up drills were then performed to get the pack limbered up. \nThen followed a skill game of who could roll a ball closest to the net from the baseline.  The winner was Baar Sinister. \nA knockout game of all nine players on court\, four one side\, five the other.  The ball was fed in from the sideline with players having to rally.  Two chances were given before a player was eliminated.  The last man standing and winner was Bograt. \nThe two doubles matches then commenced and after each set points were awarded for the number of games won by each player.  There were some brilliant rallies and fierce competition. \nThere was a ten minute break before round two and then the competition was fierce again. \nSmokey rolled up a bit late and decided not to play but took to an umpires chair and sounded out advice that I am sure the players felt was helpful or a load of shit. \nAt the conclusion of round two Y2KY distinquished himself by walking off the court after he had lost refusing to shake hands\, calling the opposition a “cheating pack of fucking arseholes”. \nRound Two being completed Smokey had helpfully fetched the pizzas that were washed down with ales.  Complaint received that every pizzas was loaded with cheese however overall they were all devoured. \nA longer break with more beers before Round Three got under way.  Again the matches were hard fought.  There were a few uncertainties as to rules however the games were generally played in good spirits. \nAt the conclusion of Round Three the Hare tallied the scores announcing the winners. \nOverall Champion – Derrolicked my balls following a very consistent performance over the three sets. \nRunner Up – Carl showed that he had played the game before and was no mug. \nKyrgios Award – Y2KY Jelly for serving some brilliant aces.  Followed by his memorable dummy spit and bad and abusive sportsmanship. \nBallbag Award – Baar Sinister a compete turnaround from the previous event finishing last. \nThe competition concluded around 9.30pm.  Not bad seeing as the courts had been booked and paid from 7pm to 9pm. \nA lot more liquid was consumed and the Hare fucked off at 10.15pm. As our crew were the only ones left it was up to us to lock up as the lights were going out at 10.30pm.  This must have been done as no complaints were received by the committee man. \nI thought it was a good night. \nBB.

DESCRIPTION:Run #87 will live long in the memory but just in case you had too much to drink here is a quick re-cap. \nWe arrived at Chez Ball Bags to be greeted by Mrs Ball Bags cooking up a storm. We knew a great night was upon us……or at least a good feed. \nOur fearless hare Ball Bag was in his usual spot…….sitting next to the beer fridge necking a Furphy with his mate Fulla Shit who definitely looked dressed for a run but was not subsequently sighted on the trail.  With the pre-run drinks quickly downed by the amassed runners detailed trail instructions were issued by the hare. \nThe fact a trail had even been set was a bit of a shock considering the horrific weather conditions so much kudos to the hare. Whilst we had our doubts about flour surviving the rain we were advised “pink tape” was being used but just in case a sealed envelope with emergency “get home” instructions were issued. \nWe were sent on our way out the back gate into the rain. As expected Y2KY Jelly took the opportunity to strip down to his jocks resulting in many insults about his chest hair being used for car seat covering purposes. \nAs we bounded down the pathway of the golf course the cane toad massacre commenced. We soon realised that no one had actually bothered to listen to the trail briefing\,  but eventually pink tape was spotted\, and we were on our way again up the hill. Bits of pink tape were spotted from time to time thereafter with sabotage (more likely the weather) being suspected so it was agreed that it was time to break open the sealed envelope. \nTo Baah Sinisters horror there was no map\, only the following note: \n \nAt this point things started to go wrong big time. Y2KY Jelly\nstarted heading off in the direction of Burleigh Pavilion (probably to show off\nhis hairy chest to the ladies) and somehow Pepe Le Spew & Derrolicked\nmy Balls found trail at a nearby school only for it to lead them to …………well\nnowhere. \nMeanwhile that cunning [insert your own\ndescription] Miscarriage had sniffed out a shortcut home to the\nrelief of the sheep shagging kiwi. Over the next hour or two hashers literally\ndripped their way into the On After with stories of long distance running in\ncyclonic conditions. As it turned out most hashers literally smelt their way\nhome due to the lovely home cookin of Mrs BB. \nArsenic & Cum Smoke joined us for the\ndelicious dinner with Happy Birthday sung to the hare (he kept that quiet\ndidn’t he) followed by a fat free totally healthy cake. \nOverall\, a high scoring run with plenty of rat\ncunting (intended or not) and cleverness (100% of runners got lost).

DESCRIPTION:https://covidhhh.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/11/Run86.mp4 \nBograt’s 40th Birthday Bash \nAfter the run set by Boggy that included a drink stop the pack descened on the eating and drinking establishment. A quick comment on the run Boggy somehow managed for the pack and one walker to finish together an amazing feat. An ideal in Hash is that the runners and walkers to finish close together but in practise this rarely happens.A good result.The Tavern is obviouosly a very fine location for the Millennials and Generation Z set. The place was packed and with the regular trivia Tuesday night competition obviously extremely popular. The place was jumping and extremely noisy. Ales were being consumed at copious amounts and as out group of eleven settled in the sale of amber liquids rose dramatically.For an old fart the noise was deafening and he found it hard to hear conversations. Never the less the atmosphere was convivial and everyone was having a bloody good time.Tacos at $5 were very tasty and did the trick to keep the hunger pains at bay.Trivia got under way and the Hash had two teams one lead by Y2KY Jelly. The other by Boggy.There were two rounds of twenty questions plus some other music questions and putting names to faces.The old fossil was amazed at the knowledge of the teams. Pepi Le Spew’s knowledge was outstanding on the team he was in. Not sure who the stars were in Team Two but they seemed to know most of the answers being smart arses. The old fossil was absolutely bloody hopeless with his knowledge of the answers to questions. There was a huge generation gap for him in this regard. Next time how about some questions like: What was Frank Sinatras theme song? (My Way) or Who killed JFK? (L H Oswald) etc. etc. and he may have had a chance. Still I faired better with the NATO question than Arsey did with his geography: the ocean between Africa and Australia is the Ocean’s 11.Anyway not sure if there was any prizes for winners but if there was our Hash Teams would have been right up there.The fossil departed prior to any announcements as to the winners. He needed to get his shut eye.A birthday cake made of chocolate puffs with sparklers atop was brought out for Boggy. A rousing chorus of Happy Birthday followed. It had to be very loud to be heard over the background noise of the others in attendance.It was good to see Dragon BallzUp again also first timers Carl\, Anthony and Aaron. Hope that they can become regulars and enjoy the camaraderie of the Hash.It has been heard on the grapevine that after being kicked out of the establishment at 10pm four of the boys namely Derro\, Boggy\, Pepi and Barr went in search of another watering hole. One was found at Broadbeach and they duly carried on till 2am.
